Post Genre is a grassroots music and arts collective with a mission to unite people through community-oriented programming and live events.
Located at Haven, a former church in Oakland, Pittsburgh, Post Genre works to support collaboration and community by hosting concerts, workshops, networking events, and free hands-on learning opportunities in audio engineering, lighting, and event design.
Alongside hosting a concert and event space–equipped with professional, in-house lighting and sound equipment–the collective also houses PG Studios: a 2,500-square-foot multipurpose studio and rehearsal space for creators.
Our team includes musicians, artists, audio engineers, lighting designers, event organizers, photographers, videographers, editors, and writers. If you're passionate and willing to learn, you'll fit right in!
Haven is an independent performance space in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood. Haven serves as a creative home where musicians, artists, and audiences can come together for concerts and events.
Starting this January, PG Studios will offer a smart rehearsal space in Oakland that will provide musicians with a convenient, professional, and affordable environment to rehearse, record, and create. PG Studios is equipped with backline to record rehearsals, live sessions, create content, and shoot photos. The 2500 sq ft church will also be available to rent for private events.
